Oct.31, 2016 - In late August 2016, the Chinese Police, thanks to DNA testing, arrested the Jack the Ripper Chinese surnamed Gao Chengyong, who killed, disemboweled and cut out 11 women between 1988 and 2002. He had the habit to follow his victims to their home especially if they were dressed in red. It levied on some of them their genitals in the manner of the famous Jack the Ripper, English serial killer of the 19th century.

In the past, during a long time, police in China refused the version of serial killers but now it has faced the facts with the sudden proliferation of this type of criminals:

– Li Zhanguo, a multiple sodomist who killed at least 11 between 1991 and 1995, exclusively targeting male villagers with severe learning difficulties;

– Wu Jianchen, another serial rapist from Hebei responsible for 15 murders in 1993;

– Huang Yong, a pederast who killed either 17 or 25 teenage boys between 2001 and 2003;

– Chen Zhengping, arrested in Henan in 2002 for the deaths of at least 42, including children, after lacing rice balls at a rival snack bar with rat poison;

– Peng Maiji, who used a meat cleaver to murder 77 in Shanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui and Henan, executed in 2000;

– Wang Qiang, executed in 2003 for the murders of 45;

– Li Shangxi, Yang Mingjin and Li Shangkuan, a Guanxi trio who committed 26 murders together between 1981 and 1989;

– Yang Xinhai, the “Monster Killer” perhaps the most famous Chinese serial killer and mass murderer.

In 2004, the profilers studies showed that the geographic distribution of this type of criminals wanted that with only 5% of the world population, the United State produce 85% of serial killers of their own. But at the end of the Soviet bloc, communication helping, the former USSR ranked the 2nd prize of the list after the United States.

Is there a typical profile for serial killers?

Simple mind and schizophrenic on the contrary was the serial killer and mass murderer, Anatoly Yuriyovych Onoprienko, known by the nicknames "The Beast of Ukraine", "The Terminator", and "Citizen O". After police arrested this 36-year-old former forestry student on April 16, 1996, Onoprienko confessed having killing 52 people.

Then as regards the color of the serial killer, psychiatrists told us that they were often white people.

– Bulelani Mabhayi said the killer Tholeni, who murdered 11 women and 9 children between 2007 and 2011;

– Petrus Madiba, murdered eight women and a baby in 2012;

– Batshaben Motsame, made 8 victims in 2012.

What is the record of murders for a serial killer?

The records of murders seems held by Alexander Pichushkin (AKA "Chessboard killer") Russian serial killer, convicted with murder in 2007 of 48 people between the years 1992–2006 but who claims to kill 60. But the most famous one remains the French Doctor Petiot, who was convicted in 1944 with murder of 27 people but claims to kill 63.

Where are localized serial killers?

Just a few years it was California which won the palm of the largest number of serial killers in its territory. Megacities are the favorite hunting ground of serial killers especially when there are a great number of easy preys in a restricted area (as starlets, prostitutes, homosexuals...) dreaming of vainglory and who are ready for any compromise. Are there female serial killers?
