August, 4th, 2014 - Wars abound today, we do not know where to turn. And when not transmitting news of battles and deaths about Gaza, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, Libya, Eritrea ... newsmen and politician choose to commemorate the oldest, as currently is today the case in France, Belgium, England and in most of Europe with the Commemoration of the Centenary of the Great War (1914-1918).

Deads of the First World War amounted to about 18.6 million people. This number includes 9.7 million deaths for the military and 8.9 million for civils. The World War II was the deadliest conflict in history with over 60 million deaths (2.5% of the world population). The distinction between civilian and miliary losses directly caused by the fighting and collateral damage is not always clear and historians continue to face about it (source: wiki).

Media and historians go on always describing the war in great details but there are few who give the true causes. Exacerbated nationalisms, the horrors they perpetuate during the battlefields and among civilian populations were described with a luxury of details to better rally the people in order they sacrifice
for the Fatherland, and humanist ideas such Liberty, religious ones as God ...

In fact, at the origin of each war, there is always a financial interest. Wars are not aroused by ideas, those who have interests in the war, exploit always ideas and idealism.

Each time there is a war, it is in reality a demonstration of expansionism at the expense of some neighbors or direct competitors. This was the case of the colonial wars in Africa, Asia and Europe where competed a very long time, the British, French and Germans.

And this is still the case for the band of Gaza that Israel covets. And even the Great War of 14-18 which is dinned into our ears is no exception to this sad reality: if it has lasted so long, it is mainly through cross agreements that had some ones at that time. Indeed, more a war lasts, more weapons are sold and armament revenue increases accordingly. Schneider for France, Krupp for Germany took their pins of the game. The Balkan powder has been financed by the states either with a loan from Schneider or Krupp in order they buy weapons. You have to remember that 80% of the production of French Armament Manufacturer, Schneider, was exported between 1910 to 1911 with the major part towards European countries. "Merchants guns", "war mongers" is how were vilified the French Schneider family by socialists and anti-militarist circles of the time, the day after the so-called victory of France. We are far from the French people’s jubilation as described by our contemporaries.

And the War of 1940-1945 ? are you asking. Well, the american Liberators had also so much interest to finance it previously to better then repress and finally, to ask royal compensation to liberated countries for the war effort and human losses incurred :

Financial institutions in the United States of America as Chase National Bank and National City Bank of New York, continued to invest in the German armament industry after Hitler came to power and during the Second World War.

The biggest U.S. companies during the Second World War had their own war material manufacturing units in Germany and in the occupied countries (they were ITT, Ford, General Motors, Standard Oil of New Jersey, etc.).

Most of their war equipment was sent to the eastern front against the Soviet Union, but was used also in the war against the troops of their mother country, the USA.
(source: Fritz Thyssen "I Paid Hitler", New York 1941.)

And all this rotting "human flesh" scattered on the scenes of battles, which ideas were manipulated for giving them a better heart to fight ... well, it’s just cannon fodder!

We remember for ever the words of the French poet and singer, Georges Brassens:
O you, blasters, O you good aposts
Die the first, we give you way
But please, zounds let the others live!
Life is about their only luxury down here
Because, finally, the grim reaper is quite vigilant
She did not need anyone to hold the scythe
No more macabre dance around the scaffold!
Dying for ideas, okay, but a slow death
Okay, but a slow death
(Dying a slow death, 1972)
